My pastor growing up had a saying, that some of the most important things in life come from two things; the books you read and the people you meet. I’m not too much of a reader, but I couldn’t agree with him more about the latter. The people I’ve met along the way have shaped who I am, each one acting as a push, or a pull in the grand scheme as the Lord molds me into the man I’m to be. Maddie’s been one of those pushes, and I couldn’t be more thankful for her.
Maddie was a fellow Phoenix (Elon University) and is currently working and living in Charlotte, NC. I’ve been so humbled and appreciative of her compassion and support as I’ve pursued my dream of photography, and in the past few months, she’s referred two amazing brides-to-be (whom you’ll get to see in a few months!) Before our shoot, our conversations made it very apparent and clear, that it was my turn to return the favor. Maddie is stepping out, pursuing her dream, and becoming her own Wedding and Event Designer and Planner! “Becoming Madeline Events and Design” will be hitting the world wide web in no more than a month, and I have the privilege of introducing her to you all.
To give you a taste of who she is, when we first had the conversation about this photo shoot, I asked her how she wanted to be portrayed, and her response was perfect: “a child of God, a child that stumbles and gets back up, that’s afraid of the dark, but knows the Light.” Wow! I was floored, and knew that we were in for an incredible day. I have to say this was the shoot I’ll remember for years…the Lord blessed us with incredible light, a beautiful setting, and amazing friends to help and share the day with. A big thanks to Hillary Noble and my beloved Mother for helping with lighting!
And how could I forget about her ADORABLE pup Wally!? This guy is awesome!
